Sunlight Group: Strengthens European Operations with 100% Acquisition of its French Subsidiary

Sunlight Group, a member of Olympia Group and a technology company specializing in innovative industrial electrification solutions, has announced the acquisition of the remaining 45% stake in its the French subsidiary. By this strategic move Sunlight strengthens its position in France, the second-largest industrial battery market in Europe, valued at over €250 million annually, with a clear plan on how to further expand presence and grow its market share.
This strategic move enables Sunlight to capitalize on the rising demand for industrial mobility and logistics solutions in France, driven by substantial investments in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing.
Along with the acquisition comes also a new leadership in the subsidiary which will enable to write the next chapter in the company.
By fully integrating the French subsidiary, the Sunlight Group will enhance local operations, enabling to more effectively address the evolving needs of French customers while expanding its nationwide presence. The company’s established expertise in lithium battery technology positions it as an indispensable asset while its robust customer base, includes major French industries ranging from luxury goods to automotive manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Arnaud Bondelu has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the French subsidiary, succeeding Patrick Kuster, who has decided to step down after 15 years of successfully leading the company. Patrick will continue to provide support over the next four months to ensure a smooth transition, guaranteeing continuity for customers, employees and stakeholders. Arnaud brings extensive experience in the energy storage market. He has a strong track record in strategic planning, business development, and risk management, consistently achieving results in profitability and market share expansion throughout his career.
