TRIATHLON Focuses on Intelligent Energy Management Solutions at LogiMAT 2023
April 12, 2023
At LogiMAT 2023, the leading international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management, TRIATHLON Group, a leading provider of modern energy storage solutions for industrial applications, will highlight its product and solution portfolio for holistic and intelligent battery and charging concepts.
Since last year at the latest, forward-looking, reliable, and cost-efficient energy solutions have been at the top of the industry's agenda. Besides modern application solutions for efficient floor conveyor processes, companies are increasingly looking for smart concepts to ensure resource-efficient energy consumption and the best possible exposure to dynamic market prices.
One focus of TRIATHLON's presentation at LogiMAT, which will take place in Stuttgart from April 25 to 27, 2023, will therefore be on the lithium-ion systems developed and produced in-house. TRIATHLON Li-ion battery systems are increasingly the first choice of fleet operators for the efficient operation of their industrial trucks. The high performance and cost-effectiveness over the entire life cycle are often the deciding factors for choosing the lithium-ion technology.
At the joint stand G27 in Hall 10, a number of TRIATHLON subsidiaries will be demonstrating further practical benefits of lithium-ion solutions to customers and interested visitors. Sunlight Group, part of which TRIATHLON has officially been since February 2023, will also be exhibiting its innovative product portfolio at LogiMAT, booth 10H60.
TRIATHLON’s forward-looking energy solutions enable, for example, longer truck operating times between charges, the elimination of battery changes and maintenance, and the possibility for flexible intermediate charging. As a result, significant productivity gains can be achieved. The modular design of TRIATHLON Li-ion battery systems enables the sustainable use of the components in so-called 2nd-life applications and allows their efficient recycling. In addition, the TRIATHLON Li-ion batteries are mechanically and electrically equipped with multi-stage safety systems.
TRIATHLON Li-ion battery systems can be fully charged within one hour. When several vehicles from a fleet drive to the charging stations at the same time, as is often the case during breaks, the available grid connection power has to provide a high peak load. At LogiMAT 2023, TRIATHLON will address this current industry challenge and focus on the intelligent load management system MD LOADmanagement.
During the charging process, the battery transmits the current state of charge to the charger, which in turn sends this information to the control center of the MD LOADmanagement system. Using an intelligent, highly dynamic algorithm, the systems are charged according to demand – with individual power limits. As a result, the solution prevents grid overloads and reduces the cost of the capacity charge provided while significantly reducing the grid connection power. At the same time, it ensures that the fleet is optimally available.
